About Lindley:

I have been interested in photography for as long as I can remember. When I was raising my children and working as an elementary school teacher, time for photography was more limited. Now the children are grown and raising their own children, and I'm retired from teaching. I absolutely love having more time to photograph and process images.

I live in Oak Park, IL, just outside of Chicago. The Chicago area is filled with opportunities for photography, including the city itself, as well as suburban points of interest, gardens, and forest preserves. In addition to photographing locally, I enjoy traveling, especially to Europe and Mexico.

I'm excited to share my work with you, and I hope you enjoy your visit to my gallery. Come back soon - I'll be adding new images frequently!

Images are available for purchase in a variety of sizes and formats. You can choose an unframed print, a framed print (you choose from a large variety of frame and mat options), a canvas print (framed or unframed), a metal or acrylic print, or a greeting card.

Guiding Light

DescriptionA silhouette view of the Statue of Liberty at sunset with sun positioned at torch.

The Statue of Liberty (Liberty Enlightening the World; French: La Liberty's clairant le monde) is a colossal neoclassical sculpture on Liberty Island in the middle of New York Harbor, in Manhattan, New York City. The statue, designed by Frederick Auguste Bartholdi and dedicated on October 28, 1886, was a gift to the United States from the people of France. The statue is of a robed female figure representing Libertas, the Roman goddess of freedom, who bears a torch and a tabula ansata (a tablet evoking the law) upon which is inscribed the date of the American Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1776. A broken chain lies at her feet. The statue is an icon of freedom and of the United States: a welcoming signal to immigrants arriving from abroad.

About Joann:

Please sign up to get my newsletters for monthly specials and new artwork in Fine Art America.

Growing up in southern Connecticut, I attribute my passion for photography to living so close to New York City. As long as I can remember, New York City has fascinated me with its mixture of old and new America. This is depicted in my New York Series of photographs in the first phase of my photography.

In between my move from Connecticut to New Hampshire, I did a great deal of traveling by auto across our country. I've spent time in Oregon, Southern and Northern California, Pennsylvania, and Florida. During this time I had the opportunity to photograph the roadways and scenic vistas of this beautiful land. After finally settling down in New Hampshire, my interests seemed to steer me towards photographing the beauty of everything New England. This is the current series I am working on.

I'm a member of the Nashua Area Artists Association and the New Hampshire Society of Photographic Artists. Work has been exhibited at the Exeter, New Hampshire Town Hall, the Chimera Art Gallery, the Chandler Library, Gallery One, and Martin's Photographix and Digital Exhibits, in Nashua, New Hampshire.

INTERPRETIVE ARTWORK ABOUT STATUE OF LIBERTY (WATERCOLOR ON ARCHES PAPER)

Pkease Click On The Picture Link Below For More Information

About Juan:

1971 Mexico City, showing since always outstanding qualities in drawing, later studied architecture, always excelling in the media of graphic expression. Self-taught in other media such as oil, pastel and acrylics, and like many other architects, as a late vocation, back in my a deep need to express visually outside the architectural context, but ...freely, a passion, ...an overwhelming need to capture and translate light and colors through my painting. Member of National Watercolor Society in Mexico City.

The work done in Amate Bark Paper is essentially iconic and figurative, on the cultural symbols of my environment. The support chosen for this series also contributes to conceptualize, from the Nahuatl 'amatl tree leaf' prepared with the ancient technique used in pre-hispanic codices, using the media, mainly acrylic and mixed with special attention to enhance the texture of the paper.
My artwork is beginning to be part of private collections in the United States, Mexico, Australia, Canada,
and recently and Belgium.

About Mark:

For many years now I have been photographing landscapes, coastal scenes and much more. I have also been very fortunate to shoot some beautiful classic motorcycles and cars across the UK.

I once read a magazine article that listed the top 99 photography tips and the number 1 tip was - 'Always carry your camera, if you don't the other 98 tips are useless'. I can't remember any of the other 98 tips but this one always stayed with me.

So now I carry my camera whenever I can and what you're seeing here are a few of the offerings from my photographic adventures. Please enjoy my work!

About Juli:

What can I say . . . I am totally obsessed with photo taking and the art of processing the image. I love using my photograph as a canvas and then adding textures, digital paints or a blend of multiple images to create my final piece. And my favorite subject? Well, whatever tickles my fancy at the moment. I have dabbled in photography for quite a few years starting with my Pentax K1000 manual film camera and creating my prints in the darkroom. Now my equipment is a Nikon D80 camera and Adobe Photoshop and I love the endless possibilities that can be created with them.

My works have been featured at Anam Cara Living Arts Studio & Gallery and Bell Studio/Gallery in Denver, Colorado. Various prints and photo art cards of mine are sold at The Marketplace, a local boutique in Colorado. My image 'Enchanted. Blatislava' was on exhibit at the 1650 Gallery & Studio in Los Angeles, California, as part of their juried exhibit called Wanderlust Travels Near and Far. 'Pretty in Pink' and 'Ski Colorado' were published in 'Eye on Fine Art Photography' magazine.

I am also a contributing photographer for several stock photography agencies.

Thank you for stopping by. Please feel free to take a peek through my artwork. Would love to hear your thoughts on what you see.

Freedom

Description:

One of my favorite shots. The Statue of Liberty silhouetted by a beautiful sunset as seen from a cruise ship leaving New York harbor.

About Bob:

From a very young age, I was always interested in photography. One of my first cameras was a Minolta SRT101 SLR. I graduated from the NY Institute of Photography in 1968. Many of my photos have been shown in venues throughout New York. Most of my art is designed and conceptualized to be enjoyed on a large canvas or print, although they are available in many other sizes. I like my art to be the elephant in the room; you feel compelled to look at it and comment. I am now semi-retired working on photography and commercial art in paradise, Key West, Florida.
